About the shade
Sienna Shines is a rusty terracotta orange, red earth that's been fired warm. It's more brown than pumpkin and more orange than brick. In sunlight it glows, and in the evening it deepens toward a reddish brown. It's much darker and stronger than Apricot Clay, and warmer and more orange than Faded Rosewood.
Where you'll see it
Canyon walls, terracotta floor tile, oak leaves in autumn, and a jar of ground cinnamon. It's in clay roof tiles, rusted metal, red rock deserts, and the bark of a cedar tree. Look for it in paprika, a fox's coat, and old clay pots left out in the garden.
In your home
An accent wall in a living room or kitchen. It pairs well with cream, olive, navy, and teal. A wool rug, a leather chair, or a shelf of pottery brings it in easily. In a bedroom it's warm on a headboard or in a throw blanket, and in a dining room it works well on chair cushions or a tablecloth with wood and cream.
In everyday life
A chunky sweater, a clay mug, a leather belt, or the jar where you keep your paintbrushes. It's in a suede jacket, a scarf for fall, a set of terracotta pots, or a canvas tote. It has a way of making a space feel lived in, and a little of it goes a long way on a desk or a kitchen counter.
